What this page is, and isn't

On 9 March 2026, Pornhub's parent company Aylo blocked every Australian visitor rather than implement age verification under the Online Safety Act. RedTube, YouPorn and Tube8, also owned by Aylo, followed within a day.

A lot of people have started searching for "Pornhub alternatives Australia" since then. Most of what you'll find is bypass content: VPN tutorials, mirror tubes of unknown ownership, ID-upload pages with shaky provenance. That's not what we do here. Whether the new codes get the balance right between protecting kids and respecting adult privacy is a debate worth having, just not one we run on this page.

What we do cover is editorial reviews of paysites featuring Australian performers, plus live cams with Australian models. The two flagship studios we recommend have been shooting Australian women for over twenty years between them. If that's what you came looking for, you are in the right place.

What we don't do:
  • List mirror tubes or sites of unknown ownership
  • Sell or recommend VPN affiliate links
  • Publish bypass or workaround instructions
  • Take a side on whether the new age verification codes are right or wrong

For the legal background see our guide: Is it legal to watch porn in Australia?

How we choose what we cover

We don't cover every site that's still loading from an Australian connection. The ones we recommend share four traits, and we use those traits to decide what makes the page.

  1. Australian-filmed, or featuring Australian performers. Either filmed in Australia under Australian law, or shot internationally with mostly Australian performers, on a proper paid membership site rather than an anonymous user-upload tube.
  2. Performers paid and contracted. Signed releases. Real production crews. Not "users uploading what they say is their own".
  3. Working age verification. Either an age-verified paid membership, or a legitimate platform-level age check on first visit.
  4. Track record we can speak to. We've reviewed it, used it, or covered it editorially over a meaningful period. We don't list sites we haven't looked at.

Sites that don't clear all four don't get a card here, even if they're popular and currently accessible from Australia.

Paysites featuring Australian performers

Both have been shooting Australian women since the early 2000s. Paid performers, signed releases, deep catalogues, and access handled through paid membership rather than third-party ID checks. They sit at the opposite end of the spectrum from anonymous user-upload tubes.

โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜… 9.4 / 10

GoW has been filming real Australian women in Melbourne since 2004. Performers are paid, releases are signed, and the production approach is natural and unscripted. The library is vast, the catalogue is consistent, and the editorial bar is the highest of any locally produced studio we cover.

Membership is paid. Free preview galleries are available across the catalogue if you want a look first.

AbbyWinters has been shooting Australian women since 2000. The studio relocated to Amsterdam, but the performer base is still mostly Australian. Twenty-six years on, the catalogue is enormous and the visual sensibility is its own thing, more intimate and photographic than GoW's amateur energy. Paid performers, signed releases, paid membership access.

Live cams

Tubes show recorded clips. Cams give you live performers. Two cam platforms are working in Australia in 2026 with two different access flows. Chaturbate (bigger, third-party face or ID scan on first visit) and Camsoda (smaller, simple yes-or-no age tick on first visit). The right pick depends on whether you'd rather upload ID for a larger room count, or take a smaller pool with no biometric step.

Chaturbate's Australian access flow involves a one-off face scan or government ID upload through a third-party verification provider before you can view streams. Once that's done, the platform is the same global cam site it always was, with thousands of live performers including a meaningful Australian and New Zealand contingent. We list local performers on our Aussie cams page.

The lowest-friction live cam platform working in Australia in 2026. Free signup, simple yes-or-no age tick on first visit, no separate face or ID upload, 200 free tokens for new accounts. Smaller performer pool than Chaturbate but a notably lighter access flow. Read the full Camsoda review.

International photography paysites still publishing to Australia

If you want a paid site outside the Australian studio remit, Met-Art is the international photography site we cover. Not Australian-made, but it operates as a proper paid membership site rather than a tube.

Met-Art is artistic nude and erotic photography, run as a paid membership rather than a tube. Tour pages don't show explicit content, the library opens only after credit card signup. The trial is one dollar for a day's full access before the standard monthly plan kicks in. Useful as a low-stakes look at a paid site.

Privacy concerns are real, and we don't dismiss them

Uploading ID or biometric data to a third-party verification provider raises legitimate privacy concerns. The Aylo group, the eSafety Commissioner, civil liberties groups, and a lot of ordinary Australians all hold defensible positions on whether the new codes get the trade-offs right. We don't run that argument on this site.

What we can usefully tell you is the practical difference between the two paths still open to Australian adults:

  • Paid membership sites (GirlsOutWest, AbbyWinters, Met-Art): age verification is handled through billing, the same way every paid adult site has done it for decades. No separate face scan or ID upload.
  • Live cam platforms (Chaturbate): a face scan or ID upload via a third-party verification provider on first visit. Once done, the platform works as before.

If the third-party scan is something you specifically want to avoid, the paid memberships are the option. If it doesn't bother you, both routes are open. We cover the platforms, you choose.

The eSafety Commissioner publishes the official codes at esafety.gov.au/industry/codes if you want the source material.

Reporting harmful content

If you encounter illegal or non-consensual material, including child sexual abuse material, on any adult platform, report it to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au/report. eSafety handles take-down requests and refers matters to the Australian Federal Police where required.

Frequently asked questions

Is it legal to watch adult content in Australia in 2026?

Yes, for adults aged 18 and over. The Online Safety Act regulates how platforms verify the age of their users, it does not change the legality of watching adult content as an adult.

Why is Pornhub no longer accessible in Australia?

Pornhub's parent company Aylo blocked Australian users on 9 March 2026 rather than implement age verification under the Online Safety Act. RedTube, YouPorn and Tube8, also owned by Aylo, did the same within 24 hours. The block sits at their end.

What is age verification, and how does it work in Australia?

Age verification is a check that confirms the user is 18 or over before they access adult content. The Online Safety Act asks adult platforms operating in Australia to run such a check. Different platforms have responded in different ways: paid membership sites verify through billing, Chaturbate now runs a face or ID scan via a third-party verification provider on first visit, and Pornhub's parent company Aylo declined to participate and blocked Australian users instead. Each approach has trade-offs that adults weigh differently.

What makes GirlsOutWest and AbbyWinters different from international tube sites?

GirlsOutWest is filmed in Melbourne and has been since 2004. AbbyWinters has been shooting Australian women since 2000, with the studio now operating from Amsterdam. Both run as paid membership sites with signed, paid performers and studio-produced content, which is a meaningful difference from anonymous user uploads on tubes.

Is OnlyFans accessible in Australia?

Yes. OnlyFans was unaffected by the Online Safety Act because it already verified the age of both creators and subscribers.

How do you choose which adult sites to cover on Aussie Girls Blog?

We cover sites that meet four criteria: filmed in Australia or featuring mostly Australian performers, run as a real paid membership or properly age-verified platform rather than an anonymous user-upload tube, performers paid and contracted with signed releases, and a track record we have reviewed first-hand. Sites that do not clear all four do not appear here, even if they are currently accessible from Australia.

How do I report illegal or non-consensual content in Australia?

Report it to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au/report. eSafety handles take-down requests for image-based abuse, child sexual abuse material, and other harmful online content, and refers matters to the Australian Federal Police where required.
